MERN stands for MongoDB, Express.js, React and Node.js – four JavaScript technologies that together let one developer build a complete web application, from the pages users see to the server and database behind them.
This 4-month course is for graduates, BTech, BE, MCA and diploma holders, and working developers who want to become full-stack JavaScript developers. You don't need to know programming before you join: the course starts with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and our trainers guide beginners through the basics. Classes are live and taught in Malayalam, online or offline.
You build complete MERN applications during the course, then join a live-project internship in Thrissur and get placement support when you finish.
Projects you will build
Every module ends with something you have built yourself, so by the end of the course you have a portfolio, not just notes.
- HTML and CSS (Weeks 1–2): mini projects on page structure, forms, tables and the box model, then a responsive website that uses Flexbox, background images, gradients and media queries.
- Bootstrap and JavaScript basics (Week 3): responsive websites with Bootstrap's grid and components, and JavaScript projects that work with the DOM, forms, timers, JSON, local storage and data fetched from an API.
- Programming practice (Weeks 4–5): problem-solving exercises with loops, functions, arrays and DOM manipulation, so your JavaScript logic is solid before you move to the back end.
- Advanced JavaScript (Weeks 5–6): a project that loads and renders HTML from JavaScript and uses modules, destructuring, constructor functions, arrow and higher-order functions, and array methods such as map and reduce.
- Node.js (Weeks 6–7): your own web server that handles HTTP methods, reads and writes files, and uses packages installed with NPM.
- Express.js and MongoDB (Week 8): a REST API with routing and CRUD operations on a MongoDB database, tested with Postman.
- React.js (Weeks 9–10): a React project with components, JSX, hooks (useState and useEffect), forms, props, routing, and API calls with Axios, Fetch and React Query.
- MERN stack projects (Week 11): complete applications that connect a React front end to an Express and Node.js API and a MongoDB database, with authentication and state management.
Each project builds on the one before it. The JavaScript you write in the first weeks is the same language you use on the server with Node.js and Express.js and in the browser with React, which is what makes MERN a practical full-stack path.
Tools and technologies
You write the front end with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and React.js, the server with Node.js and Express.js using packages from NPM, and the database with MongoDB. You test your APIs with Postman and call them from React with Axios, the Fetch API and React Query.
Live-project internship
From Week 12 you move on to a live project. You develop an end-to-end MERN stack application, deploy and host it, and add it to your portfolio. Live projects are industry-related – for example e-commerce platforms, content management systems and interactive dashboards – so you get real on-the-job experience and an internship certificate to show employers.
Placement support
When you finish, we help you look for work with resume building, mock interview sessions and networking with companies that are hiring. The course prepares you for full-stack developer roles.
